Recruitment Centre
Welcome to the Phi Delta Theta Recruitment Centre.
Here, you'll find our recruitment event schedule, information on our Pledging ceremony and ways to contact us for more information about our Fraternity.
Pledging
One of the first official Fraternity ceremonies you will encounter is "Pledging", where you declare your intent to join Phi Delta Theta. Once you've Pledged as a Phi Delt, you will be known as a "Phikeia", our term for new members that we've been using since the Fraternity was started in 1848.
As with many of our traditions, the name has a secret meaning which you will learn when finally initiated. Once you have pledged with Phi Delta Theta (or any other Greek-letter organization), you cannot join another in that same semester.
During your time as a Phikeia, you'll participate in weekly meetings, where you will learn about the history of our Fraternity and other Greek-letter organizations, and more about how our Chapter operates.
At the end of the Phikeia program (usually about 8 weeks), if we have decided that you're the kind of man we would like to have as a fellow member, we will invite you to initiate and become a full fledged member and Brother. We can't tell you any more than that - if you're interested then you'll need to join up to learn more!
